MASH Makes x Supercritical

MASH Makes is proud and excited to announce its first agreement with leading UK-based Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) marketplace, Supercritical. Supercritical has pre-paid for 10,000 tonnes of biochar-based CDR, which MASH will start delivering in 2024 from its first two high-tech pyrolysis based projects in India.

“Supercritical is currently one the the world’s leading CDR marketplaces and provider of carbon management services. This shows in the way they do business. They understand that CDR projects require substantial upfront investment in technology, research and implementation. Pre-purchase offers a reliable and immediate source of capital, allowing us to accelerate the deployment of our highly scalable model and, in turn, scale CDR faster. We are looking forward to delivering these credits and building on this partnership as more projects come online throughout 2024”
Jakob Andersen, CEO MASH Makes

MASH Makes aims to bring more than five of its state-of-the-art SPVs online by the end of 2024, producing more than 70,000 tonnes of carbon removals when operating at full capacity - with inventory selling fast.

“The climate crisis is the single biggest threat to humanity. Scaling carbon removal is crucial in avoiding the catastrophic impacts of climate change. Our goal is to remove 500 million tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

It's a privilege to work with an ambitious partner like MASH Makes who is leading in state-of-the-art carbon removal. By providing tried and tested removals while investing in discovering new methods, MASH Makes is contributing to 14,000x growth in carbon removal we need to reach net zero.”

Supercritical matches suppliers of carbon removal methods with buyers through their marketplace. Where needed Supercritical pre-purchases removals to provide funding to suppliers of carbon removal methods. Just like the 10,000 tonnes of biochar from MASH Makes.
